DIAMOND

Characteristics: The Diamond is made of carbon and is the hardest natural mineral.  It is a stone that grows in the mantle of the Earth and is pushed up rapidly toward the surface. If it is not pushed up rapidly enough, the carbon dissipates.

Energy: The Diamond, in its rarity and beauty, is a symbol of purity and innocence, of love and fidelity, and embraces strength of character, ethics, and faithfulness to oneself and others. It is indicative of the loving and open nature with which one came into the physical realm and encourages the aspect of truth and trust. It is a love-bearing crystal, regarded in antiquity as dependable in its virtues only when received as a gift. Today the engagement ring, wedding ring, and other articles of jewelry symbolize the gift of persons in love.

 

HERKIMER DIAMOND

Spiritual, Energy, Purity

​Characteristics: Only found in Herkimer, New York, these gorgeous high vibrational Lil beauties are named after their place of origin. Herkimer Diamond’s not to be confused with clear quartz, are generally clear but can also have black anthraxolite inclusions or water inclusions within them. Unlike diamonds that are cut into shape, the Herkimer Diamond is found as is, gorgeous and double terminated, embodying pure solid white divine light, and are the highest of vibrational crystals, perfect for increasing telepathic abilities and channeling.

Characteristic: Lapis Lazuli comes under the category of Metamorphic Rock. Its composition is mainly lazurite with calcite, sodalite, and pyrite. Lapis Lazuli is often found in shades of deep blue or purple which also contribute to the meaning behind its name. It was popular with artists who ground it down for its pigment. It is known for bringing wisdom and self-expression.

Characteristic: Malachite is a green copper carbonate mineral. It is part of the monolithic crystal system and has a silky luster. Malachite is often used as an ore of copper. It has an opaque transparency and sometimes has a patterned surface. Malachite is a rich shade of green and its meaning is transformation and positive change.

Energy: A guardian of the heart, a healer of broken bones and blood pressure, and a protector from the toxic flow of negative energy – Malachite is a busy stone. Green color gemstones always seem to have super-strength powers and love connecting to the heart chakra. MOTHER OF PEARL

Characteristic: Mother of Pearl, which is also known as nacre, is an iridescent layer of material that makes up the lining of many mollusks. The most common source of this material is abalone and pearl oysters. A common use is as an inlay in many musical instruments, furniture, and jewelry pieces. There’s usually an organic and mineral substance that creates the Mother of Pearl. Tiny Aragonite hexagonal plates combine with Conchiolin in arranged and alternating layers. Layers are added over time, and many layers build up that make them tough and resilient. It often comes in white, off-white, and pale pink tones.

ONYX

Characteristic: Onyx is a variety of chalcedony. It is a parallel banded silicate mineral and tends to be black with white banding in its most common form. However, varieties of Onyx can also be green, pink, brown, red, and green and even clear with white banding. It is mostly made of calcite and has a waxy luster.

It is also known for its dendritic inclusions. The Precious Opal displays different flashing colors called opalescence against white, dark brown, or black backgrounds. The opalescence appears as vivid colors that seem to float on the background, and it often has a blue or purple overall tone.

Characteristics: Pearl, identified as June's birthstone, is a hard, and lustrous gem typically white or bluish-gray, formed within the shell of a pearl oyster or other bivalve mollusk and highly prized as a gem. Perhaps the best-loved gems of all time, pearls—both natural and modern cultured pearls—occur in a wide variety of colors. The most familiar colors are white and cream (a light yellowish brown). Pearls are unique as they are the only gems from living sea creatures and require no faceting or polishing to reveal their natural beauty. Natural pearls form in the bodies, or mantle tissue, of certain mollusks, usually around a microscopic irritant, and always without human help of any kind.

QUARTZ

Characteristics: Quartz is the most recognized type of crystal. In fact, many people envision quartz crystals when they think of crystals, even though there are many different types of crystals. Quartz can be icy clear or have inclusions, veils, bubbles, and various colors. Visual clarity normally isn't important to a quartz's energetic quality and ability to amplify subtle energies.

SPINEL

Characteristic: Spinel is a rare aluminum magnesium oxide mineral that crystallizes in the form of octahedral crystals, dodecahedral, cubic, and massive formations with varying other impurities that affect the color. The presence of chromium results in red, pink, and orange spinel. Spinel gemstones have isometric crystal systems. This gem is famous for spinel twinning, where two octahedral crystals twin together at the base. Spinel gemstones range in opacity from transparent to opaque and the luster can be vitreous, submetallic, or dull.

Energy: Spinel is considered a savior from stress, mental tension, and depression. It helps to invigorate and rejuvenate the body time and again due to which the wearer feels fresh and active.
