Stainless Steel

Stainless steel is a popular material used for making jewelry due to its affordability, durability, and low maintenance. It is versatile and can be finished in various ways, such as brushed, engraved, matte, and glossy. Stainless steel jewelry offers numerous advantages, such as resistance to tarnishing, hypoallergenic properties, and waterproof features. Additionally, it is eco-friendly and recyclable.

Care

Taking care of stainless steel jewelry is easy. You can clean it with soap and water or a microfiber cloth. Avoid using toothpaste, paper towels, or polishing cloths as these materials can cause damage to other metals or stones in the jewelry. When storing your pieces, keep them separate to prevent them from rubbing against each other. Also, keep them away from chemicals like bleach and detergents.

Stainless steel jewelry can withstand exposure to various types of liquids, including tap water, rain, or sweat. If you accidentally get it wet, just need to wipe it off with a cloth. However, it's best to avoid wearing it while taking sulfur baths. By following these simple care instructions, you can enjoy your stainless steel jewelry for a long time.

Sterling Silver

As pure (100%) silver products are usually too soft and hard to sculpt, sterling silver on the market refers to 92.5% silver and 7.5% alloy, also known as 925 silver. Such a ratio is the international standard, achieving the purest form of silver with an adequate amount of "hardness" that provides long-lasting durability.

Care

Sterling silver products will darken over time. Using a microfiber cloth for cleaning periodically will ensure its shine.

Please avoid letting your sterling silver jewelry come in contact with hot springs, perfumes, care products such as moisturizers, toners, and other chemical substances, etc to prevent erosion.

It is recommended to remove your sterling silver jewelry before engaging in sports activities. The salt content of sweat and the chemicals in swimming pools such as chlorine may cause your jewelry to oxidize and change its color.

Humidity will also cause oxidation to your sterling silver products. It is recommended to store each of your jewelry separately so as to isolate the moisture in the air and prevent them from rubbing or knocking against each other, creating "marks" or "dents".

For deep cleansing of sterling silver jewelry, you may apply a small amount of baking soda or toothpaste on a clean soft cloth and gently clean your products. Then wash it off with water and dry it.

Gold Plated Brass or Alloy

Gold-plated brass or alloy refers to the use of brass or alloy metals as the base, and a layer of gold film is plated on the surface by electroplating so that the jewelry has the color of K gold and can also delay the oxidation of the jewelry. Gold-plated brass or alloy is a consumable item. The gold film on the surface will wear and oxidize with time and usage habits, but careful maintenance can effectively prolong the life of gold-plated brass or alloy jewelry.

Care

Gold-plated brass or alloy jewelry should not be wiped or cleaned excessively. It could create too much friction causing the plating layer to peel off. Just wipe it gently with a microfiber cloth after each usage.

Please avoid letting your gold-plated brass or alloy jewelry come in contact with hot springs, perfumes, care products such as moisturizers, toners, and other chemical substances, etc to prevent erosion.

It is recommended to remove your gold-plated brass or alloy jewelry before engaging in sports activities. The salt content of sweat and the chemicals in swimming pools such as chlorine may cause your jewelry to oxidize and change its color.

It is suggested to have separate storage for each of your jewelry so as to isolate the moisture in the air and prevent each of them from rubbing or knocking against each other, creating "marks" or "dents".

Gemstones

Some products from SH&Co. consist of precious gemstones, such as onyx, pearls, crystals, zircon, lab-grown diamonds, etc. Each gemstone has different compositions, hardness, and density. Please follow the care instructions to maintain and prolong the brilliance of your gemstones.

Care

To prevent the gemstones from falling off, it is recommended that you remove the jewelry before you engaged in sports activities.

It is not recommended to wear it when swimming or engaging in seaside activities. This is to prevent the gemstone from being soaked in water for a prolonged period of time.

Please refrain from letting your gemstone come in contact with hot perfumes, care products such as moisturizers, toners, and other chemical substances, etc to prevent erosion.

For cleaning, simply wipe your gemstones gently with a clean and soft cloth.

Store each of your gemstones separately so as to isolate the moisture in the air and prevent them from rubbing or knocking against each other, resulting in scratches or chip-offs.
